These delicious vegan pizza rolls are insanely tasty! Homemade pizza dough rolled up with your favorite pizza topping, with pizza sauce, and your favorite vegan cheese then baked to perfection. You're going to love these!

Think of if savory cinnamon rolls and pizza got married and had a baby, this would be that delicious baby!
These make great vegan party food, an after-school snack, heck meal prep.
I love having these in the freezer and popping one in the kid's lunch when I just don't have time to bother.
It's a win-win.
My kids absolutely devour these and are sad when they are gone.
I'm also kind of sad when they are gone.
However, we had these a lot recently.
Christmas eve appetizer, my husband's Christmas work party, and then we had them just to stock our freezer.
These make a great snack or a whole meal.
However, I feel like when my boys get into high school I will have to double this recipe at the rate they already eat them.

Even my picky eaters will eat this one.
These are super simple to make even though you make your own homemade pizza dough.
But if making dough isn't your thing you can always buy storebought pizza dough and it will still be delish!
Let's talk about pizza fillings.
You can make these with whatever traditional pizza you like or mix it up.
Here are some great options;
- vegan pepperoni store-bought or this soy curl vegan pepperoni
- pineapple and vegan ham
- bell peppers and vegan sausage
- taco pizza
- fresh veggies
- whatever pizza toppings you typically love to have on your pizza
What do I need for these vegan pizza pinwheels?
- warm water
- white sugar
- oil (olive oil, vegetable, or canola oil)
- active yeast
- sea salt or whatever you have
- all-purpose flour if you'd rather you can use whole wheat flour but watch the amount of flour.
- vegan pepperoni from the grocery store or homemade* optional depending on the flavor you want
- pineapple pieces* optional depending on the flavor your want
- vegan cheese of choice (vegan mozzarella cheeze)
- pizza sauce (red sauce or marinara sauce)
- cornmeal
- vegan cashew parm cheese or store-bought

How do you make vegan pizza scrolls?
Even though this does require you to make your own dough recipe it is still an easy recipe and I know you can do it!
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and get two cookie sheets lined with a Silpat or parchment paper and set aside.
Now let's make vegan pizza dough-
Take your stand mixer and proof your yeast by adding warm water, sugar, and yeast.
Let this sit for about 10 minutes while the yeast gets bubbly.
Then add your remaining ingredients to the yeast mixture starting with the 3 ½ cups of the flour, knead with the dough hook and if you have sticky dough add the remaining ½ cup of flour slowly only use as much as you need.
Mine usually works out to be the full 4 cups.
You don't want the dough to be sticky but not super dry either.
Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes, it should be pulling away from the sides and be soft.
Let the dough rest for 10- 15 minutes. There won't be a big dough rise and that's okay.
Take a Silpat on a flat surface (if your dough is sticky sprinkle lightly with flour) then split the dough in half then take your rolling pin and roll one of the doughs out to a large rectangular shape.

Then take your pizza sauce and spread an even layer on the dough, all the way to the edges, now add either your vegan pepperoni or your pineapple and vegan ham or whatever pizza toppings you want, then sprinkle with one cup of the vegan cheese.

Now roll this up like you would cinnamon rolls, long ways, tightly.

Then take a sharp knife (I like to use a bread knife) and cut them into twelve equal pieces or whatever size you want.
Take a small bowl with cornmeal in it dip the bottom of each piece into the cornmeal and then place it on the prepared baking sheet cornmeal side down.
Once they are all cut sprinkle the top of each roll with vegan parmesan cheese.

Repeat with the remaining dough.
Depending on the size you can fit all of these on one cookie sheet or two if need be.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until the dough is cooked, I like to stick a toothpick in the middle and make sure it's not all gooey.
Serve as is or with a side of pizza sauce for dipping.
