Delish Teryaki Soy Curls

Teriyaki Sauce
- ¼ cup soy sauce regular
- 3 TB brown sugar
- ¾ cup water
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- ½ TB chives dried
- ½ TB corn starch + 1 TB water
- pinch cayenne pepper
Soy curls
- 3 cups dried Butler soy curls
- 2 TB Cornstarch
- Cooked rice for serving
Start by soaking your soy curls. Put 3 cups of soy curls in a bowl and cover them with warm water- let sit for 10 minutes. While your soy curls are soaking, make your sauce.
Combine all the sauce ingredients except the cornstarch and stir. Take your cornstarch and mix with 1 TB of water until smooth then pour into the sauce and stir until combined, set aside.
Now strain your soy curls. Remove all the water by squeezing them until they stop producing water. Take your 2 TB cornstarch and mix it with your soy curls. Add your soy curls in a hot large skillet and cook the soy curls until they are browned a bit. Now take the pan off the heat for a minute or two. Stir the sauce and pour all put ¼ cup of the sauce in the somewhat cooled skillet (If you do it too hot the sauce will burn). Stir and let the sauce soak into the soy curls this only takes a few minutes, keep stirring. Then remove from heat.
Take the remaining Teriyaki sauce and stir then heat in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute until a little thickened.
Serve with rice and drizzle remaining teriyaki sauce and serve.
