The Best Vegan Classic Gravy

This quick and easy vegan gravy is delicious over potatoes or whatever your gravy needs are.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup vegan butter
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 3 TB soy sauce
  • 1 ¼ cup plant milk
  • 2 TB Nutritional yeast
  • pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Start with taking a small bowl and combine vegetable broth, soy sauce, plank milk, nutritional yeast, and pepper, stir these together and set aside.
    Now take a small sauce pan and melt the vegan butter, once melted add the ¼ cup of flour and whisk until it's thickened. Now slowly pour about a half cup of the above mixture and whisk until it thickens and smooths out the flour/butter combo. Now slowly add the rest of the liquid whisking until combine. Now simmer until it's thickened to your desired thickness, stirring frequently.
    You can serve immediately or heat it up later and let the flavors have time to blend.
