Who doesn’t love a big bowl of easy creamy vegan apple cinnamon oatmeal? I know I sure do.
There is something about the apple-cinnamon combo that seals the deal for me. I happen to be a lover of all things oatmeal, however.
But I also acknowledge that there is some gross oatmeal out there.
This apple oatmeal is super creamy.
You use a fair amount of vegan milk and water in this, way more than the directions call for on the back of an oatmeal bag.
It will look like too much, but it does cook down.
This isn’t the quickest oatmeal to make but it’s all said in done in about 30 minutes.
Which the most of the time is spent cooking it down.

I added 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Another option is you could add the sugar individually if you feel like 1/4 is too much.
I am sure maple syrup would taste good as well.
When I was a kid I grew up on instant oatmeal in the packet with all the flavorings in them.
My mom always knew how to make them just right. I don’t typically use those these days unless we are on vacation.
But to this day I still can’t ever make it taste the way she did.
I have no clue what she did differently or maybe it’s the nostalgia.
I don’t feel like very many things taste the same as when I was a kid. Anyone else feels this way?
